Rebuilds and Repairs

Beach Access & Walkways Replacement

This project at Ocean Dunes Resort involved replacing the beach access, stairs, and outdoor shower. With a focus on durability and guest convenience, we revitalized the space with marine-grade materials designed to withstand coastal conditions.

Project Overview

For this project at Ocean Dunes Resort, we were tasked with replacing the beach access, which included installing a new flight of stairs leading down to the beach and an outdoor shower for washing off sand. The goal was to enhance durability, safety, and convenience for resort guests, all while maintaining the natural beachfront aesthetics.

Challenges Faced

The primary challenge for this project was the harsh coastal environment. Constant exposure to saltwater, wind, and sand required materials that could withstand long-term wear and tear. Additionally, the staircase needed to be both functional and resilient to heavy foot traffic, while the shower had to integrate seamlessly into the beach access point.

Solutions & Innovations

We utilized marine-grade materials to ensure the new beach access would endure the tough coastal conditions. The flight of stairs was constructed with weather-resistant wood, reinforced with rust-proof hardware, and designed for safety and comfort. The outdoor shower was upgraded with durable, corrosion-resistant fixtures, making it both practical and easy to maintain. Our team worked efficiently to complete the project with minimal disruption to guests and the surrounding landscape.

Before and After Impact

Prior to the project, the old beach access and stairs had suffered from significant weathering, making them both unsightly and unsafe. After the renovation, the new beach access and outdoor shower not only enhanced the overall aesthetic but also improved the guest experience by providing safer, more durable access to the beachfront.

Client Satisfaction

I started back in 2022 managing an HOA as their onsite Community Manager. Managing a 196-unit oceanfront condo complex presents many challenges, including maintenance of the common property.

I quickly realized that the relationship that had been forged by the Board with Unique Construction Concepts and its owner, Adrian Palacios was an important one.

Since then, I have come to appreciate the many characteristics that describe Adrian and his company. They are:

  • Honesty – I have 100% faith that what Adrian says is true. I have never doubted his
opinion or decisions when it comes to work needed on the property.
  • Integrity – Adrian stands behind his word and his work. Both are exemplary.
  • Loyalty – If Adrian commits to something, he follows through with it, no exceptions
  • Dependability – If I call Adrian, especially about an emergency situation at the HOA, he and his team are first on the property, dealing with the situation.
  • Professionalism – I can’t say enough about the level of professionalism that Adrian possesses. Everything is said and done at the highest level of professionalism and courtesy.

I would not hesitate to engage Adrian and his company for your next project; big or small. His skillset is unsurpassed in the industry.
